System Overview

The Power Source for Pneumatic Surgical Instruments

Pneumatic surgical instruments depend on a continuous, high-pressure nitrogen supply to perform throughout a procedure. In orthopaedic, neurosurgical, and ENT theatres, any drop in pressure or supply interruption directly affects instrument performance at the moment precision matters most.

An automatic nitrogen manifold keeps supply continuous by operating two cylinder banks in a duty-standby configuration. When the duty bank depletes, the standby takes over automatically without interruption at the theatre panel. FML sizes the manifold, regulator train, and pipeline to the specific pressure and flow demands of your theatre configuration.

Applications

Where Piped Nitrogen Is Required

Orthopaedic Theatres

Continuous supply for drills, saws, and reamers throughout joint replacement and fracture fixation.

Neurosurgical Theatres

Consistent operating pressure for high-speed craniotomy drills where supply variation affects instrument performance at the surgical site.

ENT and Maxillofacial Theatres

Stable pressure at the low flow rates characteristic of micro-instrumentation in ENT and maxillofacial procedures.

General and Mixed-Use Theatres

Nitrogen at every panel enabling orthopaedic, neurosurgical, or ENT cases without reconfiguration between lists.

Instrument Workshops and Sterilization

Nitrogen for drying and purging pneumatic instruments during decontamination where this is standard procedure.

Day Surgery and Ambulatory Facilities

Theatre-specification nitrogen for standalone facilities performing orthopaedic or ENT procedures.
