Special Hazards Systems

Carbon Dioxide
Suppression
Systems

Total flooding CO2 suppression for unoccupied industrial environments, machinery enclosures, and high-hazard spaces. Designed to NFPA 12 by FML.

Designed to NFPA 12 Standard
System Overview

Complete Suppression Without Water, Residue, or Damage

CO2 systems flood the protected space with carbon dioxide gas, reducing oxygen below the level required to sustain combustion. Fire is extinguished rapidly and completely, with no water, no powder, and nothing left behind. Once ventilated, the space returns to service.

CO2 penetrates deep into machinery, enclosures, and spaces that other agents cannot reach effectively. It is non-corrosive, electrically non-conductive, and compatible with the industrial equipment it protects. CO2 systems are designed exclusively for spaces that are unoccupied or can be safely evacuated before discharge. FML will confirm suitability during the site assessment.

Applications

Where CO2 Systems Are the Right Choice

Generator and Engine Rooms

Fuel, heat, and electrical fire risk suppressed completely without water damage to the equipment.

Electrical Switchgear and Substations

Non-conductive suppression that penetrates live equipment enclosures without leaving residue.

Printing and Coating Machinery

Industrial presses and coating lines protected at the source without contaminating the production environment.

Transformer Vaults and Cable Tunnels

Total flooding fills confined, inaccessible spaces that other suppression methods cannot reach.

Industrial Process Enclosures

Enclosed processes with flammable liquids or high-temperature operations where automatic suppression is required.

Marine and Offshore Applications

Engine rooms and pump rooms where weight, space efficiency, and freeze resistance make CO2 the preferred choice.
