Dry
Standpipe
Systems
Unpressurized pipe designed to eliminate firefighting delays, protect your infrastructure, and ensure total code compliance. Designed to NFPA 14 by FML.
The Infrastructure Is There. The Water Arrives When the Fire Service Needs It
A dry standpipe provides the same firefighting access at every floor as a wet system, without permanent water in the pipes. The fire brigade connects to the ground-level inlet on arrival and charges the system from their appliance. Your building is equipped and compliant, with none of the ongoing risk that comes with standing water in pressurized pipework.
FML specialises in the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of dry standpipe systems to NFPA 14. Whether your building requires a dry system due to water sensitivity, freeze risk, or construction stage, we ensure your standpipe infrastructure meets current fire code requirements and is ready when emergency response teams need it.
Where Dry Standpipes Are the Right Choice
Car Parks and Parking Structures
Firefighting infrastructure without any risk of flooding the structure or damaging vehicles.
Buildings Under Construction
Fire brigade access through the build programme before the permanent water supply is live.
Data Centres and Server Rooms
Required fire code coverage with zero standing water risk to critical electrical infrastructure.
Seasonal and Partially Occupied Buildings
Firefighting access without the monitoring and maintenance obligation of a pressurized wet system.
Heritage and Historic Buildings
Code-compliant standpipe provision without introducing ongoing water damage risk to the building fabric.
Industrial and Warehouse Facilities
Simpler to maintain over long pipe runs in environments where mechanical damage to pipework is a realistic risk.
FML will assess your building and determine whether a wet or dry standpipe is the right specification. Contact our team to get started.
