Fire Suppression

Fire
Extinguishers

A fire can start and escalate in minutes. The right extinguisher, correctly placed and always serviced, can be the difference between a minor incident and a significant loss.

What FML Provides

From Supply and Placement to Annual Servicing, FML Handles It All

Fire extinguishers are the first line of response in any fire event. But only if they are the right type, correctly positioned, fully charged, and regularly inspected. An extinguisher that has never been serviced is a liability, not an asset.

FML supplies, installs, and services all major extinguisher types across Trinidad and Tobago — for commercial properties, industrial sites, healthcare facilities, government buildings, and community organisations. Every extinguisher FML services is recharged using an automated filling system, ensuring a precise and consistent charge every time.

Extinguisher Types

The Right Extinguisher for the Right Hazard

Water

Signal Red

Cools solid combustible fires. Not suitable for electrical equipment or flammable liquids.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

Black Label

Displaces oxygen and leaves no residue. The preferred choice for offices and server rooms.

Dry Powder

Blue Label

Multi-purpose agent effective across multiple fire classes. Standard for industrial and vehicle applications. Unsuitable for offices and server rooms.

Foam

Cream Label

Smothers flammable liquid fires by blanketing the surface. Not suitable for electrical or cooking oil fires.

Wet Chemical

Yellow Label

Designed specifically for cooking oil and fat fires. Required by NFPA 96 in commercial kitchen environments.

Servicing and Compliance

An Uninspected Extinguisher Offers No Guarantee

NFPA 10 requires that portable fire extinguishers are inspected monthly and serviced annually. Trinidadian law and standard insurance policies both carry the same expectation. A unit that has never been checked may appear ready — and fail completely under pressure.

Annual Inspection and Service

Every unit inspected for condition, pressure, and tamper seals, then discharged, cleaned, and recharged using FML’s automated filling system.

NFPA 10 Compliance Certification

Full documentation confirming each unit meets NFPA 10 — satisfying insurance audits and fire authority inspections.

All Brands Serviced

FML services extinguishers regardless of manufacturer. Supply source doesn’t matter. The service standard does.

Renewal Reminders

FML tracks your service dates and notifies you before annual inspection is due. No schedule to manage.

Automated Filling System

One of very few automated recharging systems in Trinidad and Tobago. Every unit receives a precisely measured, manufacturer-specified charge.
