Foam
Suppression
Systems
Fixed and semi-fixed foam suppression for flammable liquid hazards at tank farms, loading bays, hangars, and industrial facilities. Designed to NFPA 11 by FML.
The Right Suppression Agent for Flammable Liquid Hazards
Foam suppresses flammable liquid fires by blanketing the fuel surface, cutting off oxygen, and sealing against vapour release and re-ignition. Where water cannot effectively suppress and the wrong agent makes a situation significantly worse, foam is the correct specification.
FML designs and installs fixed and semi-fixed foam systems for industrial, petrochemical, and commercial facilities across Trinidad and Tobago to NFPA 11. System design covers foam concentrate selection, proportioning equipment, discharge devices, and detection and activation infrastructure for each application.
Where Foam Systems Are Required
Fuel Storage Tank Farms
Fixed and floating roof tanks holding petroleum, diesel, gasoline, or aviation fuel.
Fuel Loading and Dispatch Bays
High-spill transfer areas where fast suppression contains fires before they reach adjacent infrastructure.
Aircraft Hangars
Large-area fuel spill protection with the discharge rate needed to cover a full hangar floor.
Petrochemical and Refinery Facilities
Process drains, pump enclosures, and high-risk transfer points across refinery and petrochemical sites.
Industrial Solvent and Chemical Storage
Flammable solvents and polar solvents requiring alcohol-resistant concentrate specifications.
Power Generation Facilities
Turbine halls, transformer bays, and lube oil storage areas with significant flammable liquid exposure.
